
Hawkonomics Official Contest Rules
WCHR-FM – Monmouth/Ocean County, NJ
1. No purchase necessary. You must be 18 years old or older and a resident of New Jersey to be eligible to win this contest. Persons who are owners or employees of WCHR-FM, Millennium Radio Group, LLC, contest sponsors, their associated advertising agencies and their immediate families, as well as employees of other radio and television stations and their immediate families, are not eligible to participate in this contest.
2. Contest will run on weekdays only beginning on Monday, April 21, 2008 continuing through Friday, June 13, 2008. WCHR-FM reserves the right to change these contest dates without prior notification. During the contest dates listed above, The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show (weekdays from 5am – 9am EDT) will announce that day’s “Song of the Day”. When that song plays in its entirety later that same day between 3pm – 7pm EDT, the DJ will start answering the request line as soon as the song starts. caller 7 on the studio contest line (877-429-5105) to speak with the announcer wins Five Hundred Dollars ($500). No winner will be awarded if the song of the day plays out side that time window for any reason. The only day that the “song of the day” triggers the money giveaway is the one specified on-air. WCHR-FM reserves the right to offer active “Mile High Club” members information regarding what time that scheduled song of the day will play. Anyone not a member of the “Mile High Club” can sign up for free at 1057thehawk.com and immediately be privy to that information. WCHR-FM is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions or any other technological difficulties on phone lines or internet connections that may prevent an individual from completing his or her telephone call.
3. Prize winner will be required to visit the WCHR-FM office at 1015 Route 9, Bayville, NJ 08721 when instructed to claim his or her prize. Checks may take up to sixty (60) days to be available for redemption. At this time, the winner must show legal identification, provide their social security number and complete tax paperwork and a release form provided by WCHR-FM. If the winner does not visit WCHR-FM when instructed or complete the provided paperwork, he or she will forfeit their prizes and all prizes will become the property of WCHR-FM.
4. Prizes are non-transferable. Prizes may not be substituted or exchanged for another prize or cash. Prizes may have been furnished for promotional or advertising consideration. WCHR-FM is not responsible if the winner cannot use any prize for any reason. Prizes are offered “as is” with no warranty.
5. Any person who is discovered by the station that he or she is or was not eligible to participate in a contest shall have no legal or other claim to any prize, whether prospective only, awarded but not received, or awarded and received. The determination of eligibility or ineligibility shall be binding on all persons who enter or seek to enter a contest and is final. Any person who receives a prize but is found by WCHR-FM to be ineligible to participate in the contest, for any reason, shall return the full prize, without any deduction or offset, within seven (7) business days of having been notified in writing of WCHR-FM’s decision.
6. Winner forever release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless WCHR-FM, Millennium Radio Group, LLC, their officers, employees and directors from and for any claim liability, any tax, including income tax, loss or damage caused by or arising out of participation in this contest and/or use of any prize. Any additional cost related to this prize that is incurred by the prize winner as a result of accepting these prizes is the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
7. Void where prohibited by law.
8. WCHR-FM and its authorized representatives reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, delay, and/or modify the contest dates, events and/or method of entry at any time. WCHR-FM may be excused from its obligation to execute the contest if its performance is delayed or prevented due to any cause beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, acts of God, public enemies, war, civil disorder, fire, flood, explosion, labor disputes or strikes, and any acts by any governmental authority. WCHR-FM reserves the right to change or alter the official rules, method of entry and/or prize without prior notification.

9. Winner hereby allows WCHR-FM to use their name, voice and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without any other authorization and without additional compensation.
10. A copy of the official rules are available at the WCHR-FM office during regular business hours, online at 1057thehawk.com, or you may send a self addressed envelope with a written request for the rules to WCHR-FM.
11. Odds of winning are based on the number of phone calls received. . WCHR-FM is not responsible for failure of any caller to successfully dial the radio station or any callers who may be disconnected.
12. The decision of the judges is final.
13. Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, programs heard on this radio station’s internet audio stream are slightly delayed from the time the programs are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all content heard, including news alerts, contests, traffic reports, and more are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This also means that when WCHR-FM contests are played that requires a specific caller to telephone the radio station, listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air. In any event those who participate in the station’s contests, including this one, by listening over the Internet, should take this time delay circumstance into account when calculating the actual time within which they must call the station back.
